The Grande Villa Restaurant at Ormlie Lodge, provides a gracious and timeless dining experience. There is seating capacity inside for up to 60 guests (with the log fires in winter) and a further 35 outside on the verandah ... and in the fine summer weather, plenty of room on the lawn underneath the canopy of mature trees.
The owner John is a chef and along with his team have many years experience in the hospitality industry.
The menu reflects the Lodge theme, focusing on game and placing a great emphasis on high quality local produce.
The cuisine style is very much Pacific−rim. We believe Grande Villa´s wine list is one of the finest certainly in Hawke´s Bay and arguably in New Zealand. It has been constructed with the assistance of a New Zealand Master of Wine − one of only five in the country − from our own cellar and other sources and includes over 100 wines from the Hawkes Bay, other New Zealand regions and a sampling from around the world.
